I never set out to be an eco-fashion writer. I don’t consider myself particularly trendy. Fashion, Evolved was born in April 2008 after a tangent sent me on hours of unproductive internet surfing for eco-fashion websites and blogs. The pickings were indeed slim, and in a flash of inspiration I realized that this was a subject I could write about to make a real contribution to the environmental movement.
As I started researching and interviewing different independent “green” designers, I realized that very few of them were making the big bucks with their lines. In fact, many of them are working on their clothing or jewelry along with a second job to support themselves and their vision. Yet, they pushed forward, spurred on the passion for what they believe in: beautiful, tasteful, artistic style that does not compromise ethics or the health and well-being of our environment. Their stories are inspiring and their enthusiasm is infectious.
Over time I was able to find a handful of valiant souls who are regularly writing about organic, sustainable, ethical, vintage and recycled fashion and beauty–and I’m thrilled to be in their ranks. I met green writers such as Apple Levy of TheGreenGirls.tv, Starre Vartan of Eco-Chick, Victoria Everman, and Grechen Cohen of Green Grechen who have each offered me support, advice, and encouragement as I built this site.
I’ve also had the privilege to contribute to other green blogs which include Eco-Chick, TheGreenGirls.tv, Ecoble, and Renew the World; and in January 2009 I was honored by the National Women’s History Project as One of the Women Taking the Lead to Save our Planet for my work here on Fashion, Evolved.
The fashion industry is just one small facet of the global economy, but I’m proud to be able to support the ideals of ethical manufacturing, conscious consumerism, and fair trade; and to provide a forum where passionate, talented, caring people can get the attention they deserve for working hard on their dreams.

I love your website, and as a strong personal believer in ethical fashion, and a PR for an ethical fine jewellery boutique in London, Leblas ethical fine jewellery, I would love to send you our brand information as I believe that it would fit perfectly with your profile and would be of interest to your ethical fashionista readers.
Leblas’ philosophy is two-fold. To create contemporary designs for high-quality fine jewellery, but through ethical practises. We use only recycled 18ct gold, silver, and platinum, we source only traceable stones and gems for our collections, and we use only conflict-free Canadian diamonds where we can trace the diamonds directly to the mines where they were sourced from.
You can view more of our own collections from our online lookbook:

I would be more than happy to provide a story about recycled metals, Canadian sourced diamonds, or ethical gold. Or basically, how ethical jewellery is revolutionising the panorama of London’s fine jewellery design industry.
If you would like to feature us please feel free to contact me.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind Regards,

We’re a eco-surf wear company called Rapanui, based on the Isle of Wight, UK. I’ve come across your blog and thought I’d get in touch: little guys need to look out for each other and all that – I was wondering if you’d be interested in swapping a post for a link, or collaborating in some way. As a small company we need all the help we can get.
I’m wondering if you’d be interested in our story: I’ve attached an article about our company to have a look at, in case it’s something that yourself or followers of your blog might like to read. We’d be happy to swap links in return if that’s of interest, as I think our visitors would find your link useful.
Let us know if you’re interested in writing a post on Rapanui.
We would be really interested to hear what you and your readers think of us as a brand and what we do.
Have a look at the new site here;
