Andrea Kane is not your typical “greenie”.  She considers herself an objective party in a world of green washed marketing and corporate propaganda.  With her no-nonsense attitude, she calls it like she sees it–and gives her readers an honest review of the thousands of ‘organic’ beauty products on the market today.

What makes The Organic Beauty Expert so valuable is not just the fantastic beauty finds, and the frank reviews that can keep you from wasting money on products that are not up to snuff (although these are both excellent reasons to be a loyal reader).  What makes her blog a resource that no eco-fashionista should be without is her enormous cache of knowledge on both organics and cosmetics.

Currently, she blogs and works from home as a massage therapist, but she owned her own beauty company for three and a half years, and now works as a consultant for start-ups beauty companies.  She also does corporate training and workshops on health and wellness.

Unlike a lot of beauty blogs that are all fluff and gushing about the free products they have been sent by companies that are looking for some free advertising, Kane knows when something is the real deal–and she’s going to tell you whether or not it lives up to its claims.

Along with her blog, she’s got a weekly podcast called Organic Beauty Radio that can be accessed through iTunes.  If that weren’t enough, she’s recently launched YouTube video reviews.
