Ely Organics: The Real Deal

new_flowers

The good news is that organic health and beauty products are becoming more and more abundant on the market.  The bad news?  They’re not always effective.  Is there anything more disappointing than buying a delicious sounding new cleanser or shampoo only to find that it doesn’t really work–or smells funny–or doesn’t really live up to its green claims.  That’s why I wanted to share one of my favorite product lines with you here on Fashion, Evolved.  Hopefully you will have the opportunity to try these products and appreciate their luxury and quality for yourself.

The key to getting the most out of your organic health and beauty products is to buy from companies that are established and have plenty of information to back up their claims.  ONEgroup, based in Australia, is the manufacturer of Miessence products. They have been producing certified organic products since 2001.  An Independent Representative, in the U.S. offers the full range of Miessence products on her website: Ely Organics including certified organic skin care, hair care, body & oral care, baby & mother care and nutritional products.

What are the benefits of choosing certified organic products?

Good for the soil
Organic systems rely on a modern and scientific understanding of ecology and soil science, while also depending on traditional methods of crop rotations to ensure fertility and weed and pest control.

Good for the environment
Organic systems aim to reduce dependence on non-renewable resources. Organic production aims at all times towards sustainability whilst having best management of the environment and wildlife as a priority.

Good for people
Organic based ingredients have been shown in a number of studies to contain more vitamins, nutrients and cancer-fighting antioxidants than non-organic ingredients.

No synthetic chemicals
Organic systems prohibit the use of artificial chemicals, pesticides and fertilisers.

No GMO’s
Certified Organic products are produced without GMOs, which are prohibited in the standards for organic food and farming.

Take a few moments to browse Ely’s wide range of products, and read about the organic movement to learn more about why choosing organic products is so important for you and your family.

Personally, I’ve tried several of her products, and these are two of my own recommendations:

Rejuvenating Cleanser (for Dry/Aged Skin)

This super-pure cleanser is the gentlest cleanser I’ve ever used.  I softened my skin with warm water and used a small amount of the cleanser which I massaged into my skin.  It felt silky and smooth as I rinsed it off–there was no residue; and no tight, dry feeling afterward.

Mint Toothpaste

A highly effective toothpaste that cleanses and refreshes without stinging or making everything taste weird for an hour after you use it.

MyMakeupMirror.com

rabbit

A few weeks ago I joined a blogging community called AlphaWomen.com and one of the first blogs that caught my eye was MyMakeupMirror.com.  I sent an email to the woman who writes it and found out she actually lives in my city, less and five miles from my house!  Pretty incredible coincidence, don’t you think?

Suzann is a freelance writer and a former professional singer, but she is passionate about animal rights.  Her blog on cruelty-free cosmetics is a labor of love.

Rather than copy other lists of cruelty-free cosmetics from the internet, Suzann has used her research background and come up with a complete list of companies, each of which has been verified twice by different sources.  Her site marks both non-animal testing companies and companies that produce completely vegan products with no animal products used at all in their creation or manufacturing.

The site is kept up regularly and has a wonderful collection of blog topics in addition to the lists of companies.  I am so pleased to add it to my blogroll and my browser favorites for future reference.

Thanks Suzann!!!
